Can one still use tanning beds after you are healed from perm implant?
I can speak for other brands, but the Medtronic user manual doesn't specifically address tanning beds. It addresses salon hair dryers and electrolysis, but no tanning beds.
Personally, I wouldn't use a tanning bed without contacting your rep or tech support at the manufacturer of your SCS and getting clearance directly from them. The fluorescent bulbs they use in tanning beds usually have a magnetic ballast as part of the power supply and the SCS manufacturer(s) are really the only ones with enough detailed information to give you a solid answer on whether that's safe and if you need to take any special precautions.
Asked my Rep got my answser i am happy
What did the rep have to say?
Save your money and treat yorself to a well deserved holiday
She said go for it , if the battery pack seems to get warm them get out , said for medtronic there is no restrictions, just dont stay on long periods.i asked should i use stand in stead of lay she said , either. remember with this to ALWAYS ask your own rep for any info as each may vary..
My kids treat me .. and then i can go on a vacation too!!
my kids are the best!!!
Did you ever get a surgery date for the permanent implant?
Glad you can still use a tanning bed. There's very few ways to "warm up the ole bones" and a tanning bed can feel grrreat in the mid of the winter.
I go to tanning bed sometimes too and the lights and heat are great for physical and mental therapy. I don't do the sun cuz it's been too hot here in TX.
