Percocet v/s Oxycodone

What is the difference between taking 2 Percocet 10/325 or 2 Oxycodone 15mg? I was given the Oxycodone as something stronger and it's not working. In fact the percocet seem to work better. I take the Oxy and it feels like I am taking nothing!

Contain tylenol

The percocet is going to contain 325 mgs of tylenol. I am not sure if the oxy has anything in it or not, so your might be getting help with inflammation from the perocet, where as the oxy not. I know I have good results with percocet and have had many issues finding anything that works the way it does. My doctors don't like the idea of the long term use of percocet is all.

I

I agree with Tamtam, the .325 is the Tylenol amount, and like you, I find more 'bang for the buck' with the Percocet and I do with the Oxycodone smack too. 4mg of Dilaudid has more kick than does 20mg of Percocet does. I stink when it comes to the equivalent of Percocet vs Oxycodone, vs (ex Darvocet) vs Dilaudid. I just know the /??? is the Tylenol hit or involvement in the whole deal?

Vs

Percocet 10/325 and Oxycodone 10/325 are both with Tylenol, and both suppose to be the same strength. I am with Splenda, our bodies don't respond the same with the Perc vs Oxy & the /325 on both....

Percocet 10/325 and Oxycodone 10/325 is the same medication. Splenda was prescribed oxycodone 15mg with no tylenol. There is a difference. She can always augment the 15mg oxycodone by taking a tylenol with it to see if that helps. Before she does anything she should check with her doctor in case there was a reason for dropping the tylenol component.

Dave Oxy vs Percocet

My bad, I thought there was a discrepancy between the "15/325's" Smile Agreed on the doctor check and Tylenol to see if it helps.

Thanks for the reply. What I don't understand if I was already taking 20mg of Percocet with Tylenol and told the doc that it was not controlling the pain and that I needed stronger meds why would they prescribe Oxycodone 15 mg?. It felt like I was taking nothing even when I took 2 which would be 20mg. Very strange. So anyway talked to them again yesterday told them it wasn't working so they are going to try a longer acting medicine called OxyContin then they said that I would use Oxycodone for breakaway pain. The very medicine I said didn't work. Then was told they would like to hey me away from the Percot . Now I wonder why that is if Oxycodone is the same except for the Tylenol. Weird. Anyway for the last 5 years my regular physician has always managed all my meds, only since surgery has this surgeon prescribes my Meds. What I am wondering is if I should get a pain management place to do all mu meds or what? Thanks in advance for any advice.
