Laminectomy/discectomy L4/L5 recovery question. Please help!

I am hoping to get some feedback from anyone that has had this same procedure:
On Thursday I had a laminectomy/discectomy for massive herniation at L4/L5. All went well and nerve pain was gone. I didn't even need pain meds. I felt great....until yesterday. Yesterday I woke up with soaked bandages and the worst headache of my life. I was rushed to the ER because I had a csf (spinal fluid) leak. They fixed me up and no more leaking, but the nerve pain is back in my leg even worse then before operation. I am very discouraged now At Wits End
Anyone have same situation. Please help. I need all the support I can get.

3 months since Laminectomy

Sorry to hear you had CSF leak.

I had my surgery on 11/10/12 and since then my pain is mostly gone. I do have very slight reminder but nothing I have to take medication for.

Have you talked to your surgeon?? if so, what does he have to say? I have read that it can sometimes take awhile for the nerves to heal. How long did you you have the herniation for?
