Hi,
I had a hern disc L5S1 and had Laminectomy on 5/4/11. (2nd surgery)
I had my ESI 5 days ago and I feel like hell. I feel like there is a needle pointing right in my @ss. I did nothing physical this weekend and then Monday slowly started stretching with the bands, a little walking and the hottub tonight. Tomorrow I will attempt the recumbant bike.
I have been putting ice/heat on it throught the day..it helps but I feel like it's only a temporary fix. Breathing exercises, thinking positive thoughts and so on. The Norco is not even touching it. I have cried the past 2 nights, I feel worse than I did before I got the shot. I am scheduled for the next one on Monday...shot? no shot?
Anyways I feel like crap and how long is this going to last?
Please help...

Bring it up to the dr before the procedure. He/she may have missed the mark a bit and irritated a nerve beyond all imagination. I've seen a poor guy on the table have a nerve hit and his leg extended fully and knocked a nurse to the ground. (and none of this was under his control) So even dr's make minor mistakes that cause problems afterwards.
I see your post was in Aug 2011. What has been your progress since then?
I am in somewhat similar situation and am hoping to hear some good news from you.
