Chiropractic treatment is often the first point of care when someone experiences an onset of low back pain. The specialty focuses on the alignment of the spine and holds that dysfunction of the spine can cause pain, such as a joint problem in the facet joints or sacroiliac joints. Chiropractors, it must be noted, do not prescribe drugs or perform surgery. They do, however, serve an important function. Knowing what to expect and finding a good chiropractor can be difficult sometimes.
