A surgical procedure that expands and stabilizes compression fractures of the spine.&lt;br/&gt;
&lt;p&gt;During kyphoplasty, a balloon device is introduced into the spine and inflated to expand the bone. The cavity created by the balloon is then filled with a bone cement mixture.
