What is RSS?

Font size

RSS (Really Simple Syndication or Rich Site Summary) is a format for sharing and distributing content such as news headlines, web blog content, Podcasts, and other internet information. An RSS feed is a document that includes content to be displayed by an RSS Reader.

How do I read RSS feeds?

RSS/News Readers download and display RSS feeds. There are many free and commercial RSS Readers available to download. Many RSS Readers are separate software programs that you download to your computer--these programs are a lot like your internet browser. Other RSS services will let you add RSS feeds to a web page, in which case you would use your web browser to display RSS feeds.
