Dr. Brian J. McHugh is a neurosurgeon at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Fairfax, Va. Dr. McHugh treats neurological conditions in both children and adults, and has special interest in the management of complex spinal deformities with minimally invasive techniques.

Dr. McHugh received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. He completed his residency in neurosurgery at the Yale University School of Medicine, and a fellowship in adult and pediatric scoliosis and spinal deformity surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery. He is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and the American Medical Association.
