Sciatica pain

So for going on about 4 days now, out of no where after just standing up, have had this painin my lower back. Its always worse when i wake up, and theres just no real comfortable position. Wether its my side, on my back, stomach, sitting, or standing, it just  hurts when moving from said positions. Im 27, and dont excerise much like i should. Unsure if i should try to toughen it out more, or possibly seek medical attention,as from what I have looked into with my symptoms, chances are will heal on its own. Its just so bad when i wake up im neay in tears. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

  • Hi

I can appreciate how painful sciatica is as i have been suffering from it for many years. Sciatica takes time and Patience to go away but in my experience a hot tub and pain meds help. you should seek medical help if does not ease over time.

    good luck

  • You describe this as sciatica, does it go down your leg? I have sciatica that goes from lower lumbar to my butt and down the back of my leg, sometimes side of my leg and into my foot. Have you read the articles about sciatica on this site, they are very helpful. If it were me I wouldn't wait too long if the pain persists to find out what's irritating the sciatic nerve. You could even start with your primary doctor if you have one that you like and they can direct you from there. Especially if you haven't had this pain before it's good to find out what's going on. Keep us posted.
