Hi, I'm new to this forum, and new to back pain. It has become quite an annoyance. I have felt this pain probably for 30-60 days thus far and there is not an activity that I have done that would have caused this. I just played a few rounds of golf this weekend and did not feel any pain in the specified area during play, or after. Maybe it is from sleeping on it the wrong way.
I only feel this pain when I push my right shoulder back and it pushes my shoulder blade against my spine(at least that's how I describe it). Just to the right of my seventh or eighth vertebrae is where I feel the pain. I also feel the pain if I try to look as far to the left as possible. I barely feel it at all when trying to turn my head and look towards the right side. I can feel the tightness and pain when I do the row machine at the gym. I just now noticed as well that the pain is there when I push my chest outwards
I have visited the chiropractor four or five times in the last 30-45 days, and the adjustments seem to only decrease the pain slightly for a couple days. Although, my back does pop quite a lot in the area of concern when the chiropractor pushes me against the wall(not sure what that method is called). I have another appointment tomorrow, which I hope will alleviate the pain, but I wouldn't place any bets on that, and the chiropractor hasn't really told me what he thinks the cause of it is, or what is wrong. I think I will present those questions to him tomorrow, because I am becoming fed up with this and just want to be able to push my shoulder blade back without feeling any pain, even though it hasn't really inhibited me from doing much.
Does anyone have any idea what could be the cause of this back pain? Is my spine out of line? Is it a muscle problem? Moving my shoulder up does not cause pain, it is only painful and discomforting when I move it back towards my spine.
