HI,
On 2-12-08 I had a 3 level ACDF,cord decompression.partial corpectomy. My question is, I have my 6 month check up today and after this I want another Neuro. I do have an appt w/another one at the end of the month but I wonder if he will "follow" me with my cervical issues since he didn't do the actual surgery. I had some problems with the original surgeon, potential litigation there. Comments please?
Thanks

  • Agreed, I won't tell him that part !!!
  • When you see the new NS they will want the records from the old NS as well as the reason you are changing surgeons. Also remember a lot of surgeons are linked together through assisting on other surgeries or just through professional relationships. Good luck with the new NS.

  • One of the docs I saw told me that most surgeons have to practice "defensive medicine" which is why they always throw out surgery as an option. I agree with tamtam on connections thru professional relationships. Good luck---Mazy
