Foot drop caused by herniation

Hello everyone, I'm new here I had lower back surgery on December 15th , 2017 at white memorial , I'm still under doctor care,  my foot is starting to move left and right and I can move it down It can barely go up , I have some numbness on my lower  left leg  and some numbness on  my left foot and a  little hardess ,and I wonder if anybody knows anything about what else I can do to try to help my situation, or any ideas, I would gladly welcome , as I'm looking for advice and help,  thank you
