Hello

I am glad to find this forum where there are others like me to commiserate with. Hopefully, I find some helpful suggesting while offering up some as well. It's always nice (not wishing others any misery) to find others who are experiencing the same things I am /have.

This is a short, kind of concise list of what I'm dealing with...

Rheumatoid Arthritis , Degenerative Disc Disease S1-3, Compression fractures L1-5.

I have had R knee replacement & R hip replacement in 2 years. I have fused R wrist (dominate hand) so far this year due to VISI and a bad fracture of my lower arm just above my wrist, which, along with the prior RA damage caused the VISI. I'm scheduled for my L knee replacement in October and R hip replacement within the next year or two.

I've taken several RA meds, but simply haven't seemed to find an effective one since my Simponi started to fail me. Still on 20mg Methotrexate weekly & seeing a new Rheumatologist this month to hopefully get new eyes and better results. Hoping after my new MRI, Kyphoplasty will be an option to helping some of my newer collapsed/fractured vertebrae.

My pain is managed, but, not very well, via sleep, meditation, medication, solititude, ice & heat.

There are several other more minor things such as Fibromyalga, too. And, while at my new Rheumatologist, I've got to be tested for Lupus as I now having new symptoms.

Well met,

~Autz

    hello autz
    welcome to spine-health

thank you joining us!! please feel free to read and respond to other discussions that may interest you. i can relate to your health conditions as i have ra and osteo as well as 2 fractured vertebra and ddd.  i don't consider fibro as a minor thing because of the pain and side effects it causes. i was diagnosed over 20 yrs. ago and the flare ups are not fun.
i hope the lupus test comes out negative, you have enough to deal with. when are you being tested?
