Terrible pain every morning

hello to all. I have lived with back pain for years due to herniations L4-L5 and L5-S-1 but within the last month I am waking up every morning in excruciating pain that is in my hips/buttocks and then goes down legs. We bought a new mattress a year ago and it has been great so far. I sleep on my side with a pillow between legs but still wake up in agony. My husband and I walk 2 miles a day and I am active. I need to lose belly fat though and I know it strains my back. I am starting to feel hopeless about this. Thanks for adding me
