Foot Pain

I am 10 weeks out from a laminectomy/discectomy and my foot pain can be debilitating. There are days when I am unable to function. I was told that it would improve but it is much worse than before surgery. I dont sleep because I can’t  find a comfortable position. I go back to work in two weeks and not sure I can handle it. Pain pills do not help. I get some relief with Ibuprofen but concerned that this is how its going to be for the rest of my life. At eight weeks I was in emergency unable to put weight on my foot. They gave a steroid to reduce the inflammation in the nerve. It helped but the numbness, the pain, tightness, and ankle swelling make life very difficult. Is there hope in sight that it will improve? My name is J.R.
