Lower back pain due to muscle imbalance

I am a 23 yr old newly qualified dentist. I have been struggling  with lower back pain and lateral spinal shifts for about 3 years. I recently got diagnosed with l5-s1 disc bulge and a hip muscle imbalance. I have started my exercise regime for a week. I know it is early days but i was wondering if anyone else has had a similiar issue and recovery time for it. It is severly beginning to depress me and I am struggling to see the light. Thank you
