I am a 26 yr old male. I got hurt at work and have been dealing with a stupid Workman's Comp Ins. carrier since Feb'08. I was Diagnosed with Impingment of the shoulder and Myofascial Pain. Their Dr. wanted me to go see a surgery specialist, chiropractor and a message theripist. They said "NO, we want a second opinion... that was 10 weeks ago and no appt yet. I have always been active and am having a real hard time with all of this. I can't sleep, I hurt all the time, I have a constant headache. I am looking to reach out to some other people with similar conditions. Just to get it out there to someone else who knows what I know. If this is in the wrong area, I'm sorry please redirect it. Feel free to PM me. Thanks

  • Welcome to spine-health,i would get a lawyer,if their doctor wanted you to see a surgeon there is no reason why wc shoulnt have sent you to one...
  • I do have a lawyer. I live in Ohio. The work comp is in Indiana. Nothing has been done yet. I have an Independant Medical Exam set for late Sept. that was set by the Board. Any time the Ins. carrier says anything everyone takes it for the truth. It NEVER is. I'm about to lose my place to live, my vehicle and all utilities. They seem to be able to do just about anything they want and they are getting away with ruining my life(in more ways than one).

  • :) hi and welcome to the forum! we are here to offer you support and answer what questions we can. it doesn't sound like you are being treated at all right now. no wonder you are feeling worse. maybe you ought to see a doctor on your own. atleast to get another diagnosis and some temporary help. good luck! Jenny :)
