Revision microdiscectomy - what to expect

anyone out there with a failed microdiscectomy and revision? My L4-L5 micro never took, I had no relief and MRI confirmed a reherniation. I don’t know when it happened, I never had a stoppage of sciatica. I am looking at another microdiscectomy in April. What should I expect? Any5hing different?

I had a reherniation many years ago, surgeon said it happened when the vertebrae settled, the second surgery was pretty much the same as first, really nothing much different but like I said that was many years ago, hopefully other members with more recent surgeries will be along shortly to give their take on this.
