Normal EMG and Sciatica

I got my MRI and EMG and what is positive is my nerve conduction study and needle study were completely normal. My neurologist gave me a diagnosis of lumbar degenerative disc and left sided sciatica. My primary care doctor referred me to physical therapy. My physical therapist noticed a lot of spasticity in my left leg and back on left side. I am now wondering if sciatica can cause spasticity or something is missed. Also if it is sciatica- wouldn’t it show up in nerve conduction test ? All I feel now is lot of spasticity with occasional twitching and low grade pain sometimes.
