Would love to hear from someone who recently had cervical laminoplasty surgery

I have recently been diagnosed with cervical spinal stenosis from C4-C7.  I have numbness and tingling going down my right arm especially when I bend my head back.  It's an annoyance, not extremely painful but it is not going away.  My NS said I will need surgery, but it's not urgent.  He recommended cervical laminoplasty.  I have read quite a few older posts on this surgery.  I'm curious if anyone had cervical laminoplasty surgery in the past few months.  If so, how did it go?  Did you require opioids to manage the pain?  Any complications?
