Numbness post cervical cord surgery

Post AC Surgery and fusion at C4C5 and decompression,will the numbness restart while nerve recovery is on? Asking for my dad-had surgery and initially he was fine with medicines ,now postop 1 month he started having again numbness at times he says severe in fingers -have any of you experienced such a state and whats the future outcome-i know its not same for everyone but just to know the details

  • Numbness after surgery when nerves were compressed is extremely common, nerves were moved and stretched during surgery, it takes time for them to recover, however if he was having no numbness after surgery and it has started again I would contact the surgeon.
