So, is it normal for them to order a CT scan almost 9 months post op. I am still having a lot of pain and some numbness in my hands and tingling. I keep seeing in posts where people say the doc won't order an MRI or CT Scan.....so now I'm getting a little nervous that my NS may be thinking something is wrong. Do they normally do the a CT just as a follow-up. Up until now I've just had x-rays. I had ACDF C5/6 nine months ago.

  • wish i could help you out with this one but i'm only 4months post op. i have heard of doctors ordering CT scans post op usually just trying to get a better look at things. Was your operation any different than normal.Like did they put in a lot of hardware or did you have a revision?
  • had both x-rays and an MRI several months following my surgery. It is probably just a precaution but you can ask the doc why he is ordering the scan. Keep us posted as to what you find out. Good luck to you....Miki
