Mattresses and Hot tubs

DavidGDDavidG Posts: 1,040

Just a FYI for members that live in Texas and Florida. If you can get your MD to write you a Rx for “ hydrotherapy “ or a firmer mattress, you can present this to a Hot Tub dealer or a Mattress Store and you will not have to pay State Taxes on them in the above listed States. This information was passed on to me from the Hot Tub dealer when I bought a Hot tub and it’s saved me a lot of money! I hope this helps someone...David

About 8 years ago when I had a Hot-Tub, I had a written prescription from my doctor saying that it was necessary.

All the electrical, chemicals and cost of the hot tub then became deductible each year
