23 y/o post microdiscectomy

Herniated 2 disc's in the l4 S1 area when I was 16.  Continued to reinjure them for years through manual labor.

Had the microdiscectomy done three weeks ago and it cured my excruciating sciatica.

The two discs are in very rough shape.  A bad case of degenerative disc disease.

How can I care for these disc's and slow down the effects of this condition as much as possible?

The discs are dehydrated, arthritic, and it constantly aches and is always very sore.  Will post my doctor's diagnosis tomorrow.

Thanks so much for the help, Harrison
