Greetings
Pre Operative surgery – Reading everyone’s input has put me in a great frame of mind going into this operation (Lumbar Microdiscectomy). What I have learned is DO NOT overdue things, be patient, and walk lots. This is great information. I go in on Wednesday Sept 10/08. Thanks for the start, I’ll be in touch post op. :H

  • pbawt- welcome to the site. Best wishes for a successful surgery and speedy recovery. I don't know if the dr will order PT or not, but I had a PT visit in the hospital and she helped me alot as she gave me tips ie how to get out of bed. I would check with the surgeon about levels of activity post-op as there may be things he does recommend and does not recommend. The drs office should have some kind of post-op instructions. I also got post-op recommendataions from the hospital as well... :))) jade
