Hi All,

I just got back from my pre-op visit with my surgeon and could not believe some of the answers to the questions I had. Next Tuesday I will be having ACD with a Prestige Artificial Disc surgery. The surgeon said that I will be up and about driving in 2 days. He said no heavy lifting and or twisiting for a couple of weeks. He also stated no collar of any sort will need to be used. No substantial pain but will be hoarse and I might have trouble swallowing. This sounds to good to be true but I will let everyone know late next week if he's telling the truth. Good luck to all with their scheduled surgeries.

  • Good luck with your surgery, Rob! What your surgeon said sounds very good, but he is the one who knows your situation and he is going to do your surgery, so take his word for it. Let's hope he is basing his prediction on past experience.

Let us know how it turns out.

Take care and best wishes for your surgery and a quick recovery,

  • great news,, good luck with the surgery, make sure and fill us in on everything,.... patsy
