Lower Back Pain

I had ACDF C5/6 in late December 07. Things are healing well, a little slower than doc would like, but fusing is happening. Question: Can lower back pain be related to this. I have been struggling with lower back pain for a couple of weeks now, and this morning it is really bad. More on the right, goes down my right butt cheek. It actually seems to be irritating the right side of my neck as well. Any suggestions for what this is and if the two could be related?

  • everything is connected. Is it possible your posture has changed since the surgery. It could possibly be related. Can you talk to the dr who did the surgery?
  • I've been "discharged" by the Neuro, but I am working with a PM doctor and am going to discuss it with him.
