)( :SS :W I'm 21 and have had back pain for 6 years. The past 2 years, I've found myself becoming more and more limited in my daily activities to arrive at the point I'm at now. I didn't go to the doctor for the first 4 years and the pain was not always constant until about 3 years ago. I have a broad-based foraminal disc protrusion at L5-S1 and foraminal stenosis and blah blah blah. I've done a lot of research on this but I'm still confused as to the exact definition. Is it bulging or is it herniated? I'm well versed in the area of back pain (I'm in the profession now!) and I've done everything under the sun to try to help it over the past 2 years. I've hit a wall on the getting better road. I've had knee surgery, only took ibuprofen, was back to school in 2 days (I had surgery on a Friday) and I was FINE!!! Now I'm taking 60mg Vicodine and 300mg Lyrica and I can barely go to work or school! I have plenty to complain about but I'm working on keeping this short and sweet. Thank you all for your input...
