I am 38 and i have had 4 back surgies including a fusion and a spinal cord stimulator. I have had numerous nerve blocks but nothing helps. I have heard their is prodecure where they can burn the nevres in you back. Looking for info on this procedure. Please help and information would be great.....

  • Its a nerve ablation and it is normally temporary. The results I have heard from others has been mixed; I have never done it myself.

I am told it is longer than an epidural, but not much more annoying.

    Best of wishes to you,

  • Welcome to Spine Health. I've had several RF Ablations, and they generally last about 3 months. A couple of docs feel I have begun to develop a problem because of interfering with the nerves in this manner. Some people have great relief from this, however have to have it repeated every so often.
