Firstly, just want to say that I'm new here and I've been reading through a number of posts and realize I don't know what pain is. Nonetheless, I did something to my neck, have some pain from my point of view and need to see an orthopedic surgeon. My PCP referred me to a local guy (Houston) but the guy doesn't take my insurance. So, anyone out there know of a very knowledgeable spine specialist in Houston that is not out to cut you open at the drop of a hat?

Another thing....I just got an MRI done and they gave me a CD with my results. However, I can't view the results on my laptop. The s/ware / viewer is Amicas Vision Series Web-based PACS. I tried calling Amicas, the hospital and have looked online....no luck. Has anyone come across this problem?

Would really appreciate any help on either of these.

  • Magic, You got me curious as I remembered recieving a CD disc with my last CT scan.
I got it out and was able to veiw it using a program called inteleveiwer.
Actually it really wasn't woth it as it took so much time and I really didn't understand what I was looking at.
So good luck and welcome to the board.

  • hi and welcome.
one more post before back to bed lol

ya can also call and they should be able to give you the paper report. they did with mine. but i know all drs and hospitals are different.

yeah ya need a certain program to view them. plus without knowledge of reading them. things can look messed up even with them being fine.

so the written report gives a better perception of the findings.

    good luck!! ;)
