Swollen Neck!

I woke up this morning with my left neck swollen from behind my ear to the bottom front of my throat. It's uncomfortable to swallow but manageable. However, moving my neck to the left, down, and trying to keep it up right (it's now tilting to the right) is extremely painful and sickening. There is no redness, rash, or fever. Any ideas on what this is or what I should do?

I have been doing heat on and off, and just took my Hydrocodone 7.5mg for pain, and 500mg of Naproxen which I hate to take, but it's for inflammation.

:/ HELP :/

  • I called my chiropractor and he said that I should definitely go to the ER, but my fiance and I felt that there was no need. I wanted to sleep on it and see if anything changes. The swelling is down and I have slightly more motion in my neck and arm, so I think it's just a pulled muscle. My mother says that it sounds like one, and it can take up to 5 days to heal and be back to normal. Thanks!
