Hello All,

I was glad to find this message board. I underwent surgery 2 weeks ago to repair a ruptured L5 disc. The actual procedure was a Laminectomy, L4/L5 discectomy, and facetectomy. I had been having problems with a bulging L5 for over 15 years but had always been able to manage it through chiropractic treatments. This time it completely ruptured and the resultant mass pressing on the nerves was causing severe weakness and numbness in one leg, and I was advised to undergo surgery to prevent any further nerve damage. I am now on the mend, but have many questions so I hope I can share my experiences with other members and also maybe help someone else out.
