I'm newly to this forum and hope by expressing my own experience, there may be others that share my condition. I was diag/last Oct with DDD L4 L5 slippage and I have Spondolithesis. The nerve affects both buttocks, both legs with pain daily. I'm also Diabetic Type II. i have been using Ibuprofen 600mg daily for inflammation and it seems that a regular 325 aspirin coated really helps with the pain. I can only sit for short periods and the same with standing. Mornings are the worst, have to take something and sit until the pain subsides to take a shower and dress. I have an appointment with pain management 12/1/08. Don't always want to take meds. Try to keep active when I feel pretty good. We have stairs in our home and I try to go up and down several times daily. Wish I could walk more.
Anyone have any info on this besides what I have already heard? If I stay active is it going to get worse?
