I read in Mens Health mag oct 08 issue page 52 that new studies show that creatine strengthens your skeleton. Could this help my stenosis? Any body have luck with other supplements?

  • A remanent from my body building days, when i had soreness from working out, i took protein for 2 reasons, one, to grow, two, to mitigate the stress hormone cortisols effect, that is , cortisol breaks down muscle tissue, soreness, and other things. Go to the local health food store and ask about it, but first see if the counter person knows more than whats taught, see if they have ever really worked out,and scienced it.
but, thats just one persons take...
to experiment, buy a whey protein drink and down it on a sore day, if it dont work, your still getting a healthy meal replacement.
This is what works for me, it may or not for you. creatine fills the cells with hydration, letting you work harder in a shorter period of time, cos your muscles are fully hydrated, takes a few days, but when you get there, youll know. if you have kidney probs though, i wouldnt try it, and if you get a CPK test the docs gonna freak! so tell them if it comes up. and drink plenty of water. hope this useless info helps ya. calcium is what a healthy skeleton needs. too much and ya have a heart attack though!
