I've been waiting for my Long Term Disability pay to kick in. I've had to wait about 3 months. I finally received my first check today. It was a huge disappointment because it was only for one day of pay.

It turns out that since I was not qualified until Nov 30th I received pay for Nov 30th and Nov 30th only. I double checked on my Long Term Disability Web Site. Sure enough. My first full month pay check will be around Christmas.

It does create hardship when we have to wait 3 months to begin with before the pay kicks in. Then hoping for a full month pay check this week or next and getting only a one day pay check. lol.

  • I am so sorry to hear of your disappointment. I am on LTD myself and had to wait 3 months for any money also. Luckily I had a small 401K that I cashed in on a hardship to get me through. Hopefully once it gets rolling you won't have any more problems. I know that this is not a fun way to live.
