Help new pain!?!?!

Ok i'm kinda freakin out a little been having sharp pain in my groin area that i've never felt before. HELP!!!! should I be worried and call my surgeon/doc or put it off till thursdays pre op apt? :S

  • Your pain could be from any thing but in never hurts to call your doctor about it. Good luck with you surgery!

  • What issues do you have, what are your diagnoses, etc? What kind of surgery are you having?
  • I'm having an ALIF l5-S1. i've got a torn and bulging disc that is bulging towards my spine from what i've been told. I haven't had the "urge" to go for almost a month. to go either way requires me to force myself to go. It feels like someone is shoving a finger into the left Center side of my groin, when I move around it become a stabbing pain. I talked to my surgeons assistant this morning about it and was told to go see my PCP or go to the ER and let them suss out the issue and see if its stemming from my injury or something else....GRRRR
