ALIF after PLIF

Has anyone had an ALIF after a PLIF? I'm looking at options a year after PLIF. Still having pain because disc space was too narrow to fit a cage in at L5-S1. I have bone growth at both levels laterally. Surgeon suspects micro-movement in anterior portion of the disc . Not sure about going through with surgery all over again, or starting all over again with injections. Can anyone help? :''(

  • I am sorry that the first surgery did not help you. I don't remember reading about ALIF after PLIF, but it does not mean that somebody here did not have it. So maybe they will respond. I wish I could offer advise, but all I can say it that we are here for you if you need to vent or want some sympathetic ears.

    Hope you will find relief,
