  • Dogwood, you have every right to request a referral to a pain doctor. This GP has no idea what back surgery is about. There is no assumption that back surgery will cure it all and that you shouldn't have any pain. That is pure baloney. Go find another GP so that you can be referred to a pain specialist or surgeon. This current GP is living in the stone ages, get rid of him.
  • Im sorry you took offense to my view on the handicapped spaces but I was reffering to the people who have no plaque card or no tags that indicate they are disabled. these are the people that piss me off not someone who is disabled and has a legitimate problem. I also dont claim to decide who meets the criteria your right the md does. there are many types of disabilities and I know very well it isnt always a mobility isssue. so in conclussion people who dont have a plaque or appropriate tags should not park in these spaces that are reserved for the disabled like your mom!!! by the way I think you assumed that I was just going by the mobility issue, I was going by if they had plaque cards or tags and you know what they say about assuming.

  • I hear the units really work well, give it time my friend has one and had a bumpy post op but now she is really having great results. I was unable to have one since my spinal stenosis and cord compression are too severe they wouldnt be able to run the wires because there isnt any room. good luck and think positive I hope you get relief.
  • It could be just a problem I have, but when people are using the disability spaces for legitiment reasons, there are alway people willing to critize them. I think a lot of people assume it is the driver who has the disablity however it can be the non licensed passenger. I appreciate your clarification. I felt the thread needed this point of view tool. This may seem gross, but we did have an experience with spit on the car..I just think it should be the police/ticket people to ensure the vechicle has the suitable permit.
  • that your can magically come back to work with not limitations, If you were not hurt at work, they they do not have to take you back with lots if restrictions, had we got worked at work then they would have to find sruff for us to do,, My doctor already told m I coulnt continie working right now,,, Doesnt help with the money problems though... i think maybe I will look into selling stuff on ebay, what the hell, it might work Time for me to go to bed..
