Has anyone ever been on Talwin? I was put on this for back pain and had horrible side effects, including hallucinations. I asked my doc to take my of them and surrendered the bottle to him. He then gave my vicodin which is what I normally take. Anybody else ever feel horrible from this med?

I too had bad reactions to talwin. Very spacey and disoriented. Seems I read that it has the properties to percipitate witdrawals if you have been on narcotics for a while too. Side effects are so common in people that it is seldom used anymore. There are much better meds available today as you have found. That is why you must tell your doctor if it is causing problems. Hallucinations are common with this drug. Dont know of many that are stil on it.

Hope you have better luck with your new med!
