After reading these forums for the few

I am growing concern that I am lacking proper treatment

I have:

C-5 C-6 Broad base left paracentral disc protrusion.
this protursion measures 12mm transverse X approximately
6mm in AP dimension and markedly contours the left ventral margin of the spinal cord as well as narrows the neural inlet, subarticular recess, and left neural foramen at this level

C-6 c-7 there is a broad-based ccentral dicsc protrusion which effects the ventral CSF space and contours the ventral margin of the spinal cord also left paracentric forminal and extraforaminal component at this level
this component appears to primary be related to uncovertebral joint spurring and disc-osteophyte complex
but there is narrowing of the left neural foramen"

And My whole right side is effected this has been going on for a year headache shoulder ear arm hand hip groan ares both legs

I was still healing from major colon surgery when I went
To the NS and could not have the surgery so hesent me to
PM so at this point I am living on pain killers and muscle relaxers

from reading these forums I am to the understand that my protrusions are pretty severe and input

  • I'm sorry you are suffering. I hope you can find a doctor who can help you.

    Welcome to Spine Health -

  • Welcome to Spine Health. :H There are lots of great people who will be glad to lend an ear or offer advice when we can. I can in no way interpret your MRI. I couldn't even interpret my own and had NO idea I was headed for surgery even with the report in my hand. I can however offer you this one piece of advice. If you think you aren't getting the proper care by the doctor you're seeing it's time to move on. You have the right to a different opinion. Sometimes a fresh set of eyes on a test can make a real difference.

  • Please try to calm down. You need to talk to your doctor sbout what is in that MRI report and what the prognosis is before goint into panic mode. Trust me, I'm not saying that it's an easy thing to do but it's essential for you to try not to compare yourself to others on here. 2 people can have the exact same MRI report and one can go on with conservative measures amd be perfectly fine and the other may need imediate surgery. Does that make sense?

You also need to see another surgeon about your condition. You may well get the same answer about not being a surgical candidate but, on the other hand, you may find one who jnot only believes in your pain but wants to DO something about it.

I'm sorry that you are suffering so much and that doesn't help one bit. Hang in there until you see the doc.
