Finally Diagnosed

After about three years of constant pain and disbelief by doctors I have finally been diagnosed. After a recent MRI in my pelvis region I have been identified as having ankylosing spondylitis. The funny thing is we started out with this diagnosis the VA had even rated a disability for me but as time went on the x-rays and mri didn't show anything and the doctors didn't think that I had this condition. I turned out nobody MRI'd the SI joints and once that happened everything was clear and I was diagnosed. My rhem wrote me a script for ebrel and I guess this is the next leg of the journey, finding a way to pay for a 13,500 usd a year drug. I am going to try to get it through the VA and I think they should do it as I am rated for AS in there system but I had to go to a outside rhem to figure out the problem. I know have to get back with the old VA rhem and get her to agree to the treatment or find some payment assistance. Either way know when I am in terrible pain and I go to a DR or ER, I am not crazy, I am not a drug addict, After three years I have an actual condition!!!:) Thanks to everyone for their support
