My name is Eric, I'm in central Ohio and I have a Grade III Spondy with all the usual Stenosis, Foraminal Narrowing, Facet Syndrome and Degenerative Arthritis.

Of course, given that I trace this all back to a parachute accident; it could have obviously been FAR, FAR worse.

So that's about it.

Oh, I'm forty, er... something, and make my living as a nerd.

  • Thank you all for your welcome.

Actually, perhaps y'all can help me.

You see, the problem with trying to get information from the internet is that's it's rather like trying to get a drink from a fire hydrant.

Even here on this site I am having trouble finding specific info. Perhaps if I mentioned the specific things I'm trying to find, you can narrow it down for me and point me in the right direction?

    Here they are:

    1) What sort of risk do I potentially run if I don't get my spine fused? Can I, for instance; end up in a wheelchair?

    2) If I do get a fusion, ad given that I make my living sitting at a computer terminal, what is the realistic minimum amount of time befoe I can drive to work and sit at my desk?

    3) What is the newest, latest technique for fusion? Something that carries the smallest disruption to life.

I thank you in advance for any information you can give me or point me towards.
