  • Welcome to Spine health Shady!

One of the rules of this forum is never to discuss specific institutes and Dr.'s name, as it creates the impression of commercial use of the site, and that is not a purpose here. But you may be able to find some info on this subject going to med. libraries and medical info sites of the internet. The best reference is always from past patients. Don't always believe if the testimonials in the institute's promotional pamphlets. If I were in your situation, I would find out about accreditation, also, if your or any other insurances don't cover it, I would be suspicious. Ditto, if they want a large ($30-40,00-) payment before they even touch you. Some of these places may be legitimate but others have a dismal record. Personally, I would select a large, well known teaching institute with stellar reputation.

    Good luck,

  • i'm providing an old link where this subject was discussed very thoroughly. just be very cautious please. and as paul suggests, this is such a serious issue that advice really shouldn't be given here, so discussions should be done off the main boards. good luck to you.
