Hi just introducing myself, I am a 48 year old male. I have been in numerous car, motorcycle and industrial work
accidents. I have already had fusion with steel plate on C4-C6. That was about 13 months ago. I had to have it done because of spinal stenosis. Wasn't going to have it done, but a 15 min bout temporary paralysis decided it for me. I do have some probably perment spinal cord damage. I also have similiar spinal stenosis in my lower back and my neurologist says I will need screws and rods. However that means I will have to retire from work and I am not ready for that. I have a pretty physical job that requires lifting. I take Day Pro 1x, Lyrica 3x, Tramadol 4x a day.
That takes the edge off enough to put up with the chronic
pain.I cannot take anything stronger due to my job. Sorry
to ramble, well thats who I am in a nutshell.

  • That is great that you are able to get enough pain control from the meds to continue working. I agree with you in waiting until you just can't go any more before having another fusion. Good luck to you and I look forward to seeing you around the forum.
