Oxycodone Shortage, What to Replace With

I take 1 30mg of Oxycodone every 6 hours, since there is a shortage with no supplies available, what is a good substitute? I see my Pain Mgmt Dr. tomorrow.

I checked with my Pharmacy and confirmed that Oxycodone is not available in my area.

  • Your PM I'm sure will have a suitable substitute in mind for you. He may opt to try a long acting med in it's place, or try another short acting pain med. Seems to be a problem across the country at this point. Hopefully, it will be cleared up sooner rather than later.
