Rules of the Road - Apply to CHAT also

I am fairly positive that many people get tired of my posts here regarding problem areas in CHAT. Believe me, as tired as you may be of me, I am really tired about having to 'police' CHAT. I use that word, because with the rest of the Patient forums, we only need to 'watch' and perhaps at times
'monitor'
From time to time, I take a look at some of the CHAT logs and for the most part, its really good. I love seeing discussions between people that range from help to laughter and a bit of kidding. Thats all good.
But when I see things that have prompted me to post here several times, I get frustrated. I am not sure what it is, part of me thinks that because there isnt someone watching all the time in CHAT, some members think that they can do almost anything.
I do have to restate, that all the Forum Rules that are set up apply also to CHAT. Over a period of time, I see an occasional violation on the Forums and it is quickly addressed, with CHAT, it takes longer.
The Forum rules are listed in the FAQ under
Forum Rules

I went through these rules and looking over chat in just the past 30 days, have found a number of violations. Some caught, some not.

- Inappropriate behavior - vulgar, suggestive, etc
- Solicitation - towards other sites, or collection of money
- Doctors Names and specifics
- etc

Please you will make our jobs much easier if everyone followed forum rules while in CHAT. I am very happy that for the most part, almost to the point of 99% of all members conduct themselves in proper ways.
So, please that 1%, get in line with the rest of the site and my posts like this will never be necessary.
