I have read a lot of posts and sure enough I have a scatica nerve problem. All of the tips are great and are things I have been learning over the last month. My body is completely bent in half. I cannot straighten it up because the pain is too great. I can give this weeks if I have to, but the question I have I have not read a response to. What do you do about work? Can some of you work I can't even stand. I don't know what to do. I think it is getting worse and no one seems to understand. Everybody wants to one up me and say "oh I had that. Worked everyday, cleaned ,took care of the babies". I don't know what they have, but it is not this. I can't I just can't do anything more than get to the restroom.

  • hi and welcome to the forum! :H we are here to offer you support and answer what questions we can. i am sorry you are so incapacitated with pain. :''( there are some good nerve pain medications available for sciatica which can be a big help. talk to your doctor about it. :-C i use Lyrica and it has really made a difference in my severe sciatica. :D please try and relax and get some medical care. then perhaps you can work without severe pain. perhaps you need to file for your SSDI. :? it can take quite awhile and it may be the direction you are headed in. the sooner you file the better.. check out the "Health Insurance" forum for some ideas. good luck and i hope you are feeling better soon. :D Jenny :)
  • when the pain takes control of your life and you can no longer function, its time for medical intervention! no one should have to suffer the way that you describe. have you been to the doctor for this yet?
