I'm just wondering, how long does it take until you can feel the side of your neck they cut? Mine is still numb and my back teeth on that side hurt (that can be from too many cough drops)? I don't go see the surgeon for about another two weeks and I'm just wondering is this normal? It doesn't hurt but stitches are inside and itchy and my neck and jaw are still numb?

  • first off i want you to know i've been following your progress and i do mean progress. theres a big difference between the cindy from a few weeks ago and the new cindy....keep up the good work.
as to those weird sensations it might take a month +or- but they are normal in the healing process. dont worry about them. you are only aware of them because they are new...your body was operated on and you cant expect to come out 100%.
    take care....pete
  • I just wanted to be cured...LOL! I know wishful thinking and I need to be more patient. Thanks for your help. Have a good weekend.

  • Cindy, as you can see by my signature, it's been nine months since my surgery and I got feeling back in my jaw just last month and my incision and the area around it are still numb.

    Just an FYI.
