on a claim, especially about the number of times he saw you , you have a major, major issue with him.
I am not into today's society which seem sue happy, but when a doctor has has taken an oath flat out lies in a written document oh boy would a lawyer have a field day with that one.
Personally, I would not be interested in any monetary gain you might realize, but the correct punishment done for his falsifying documentation. That is a major problem and if you have the proof to illustrate that, it would be the best medical thing to do. If he has lied on documents about you, I would bet he has lied other times also

get a pain dr and take copies of ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL tests you have to him, cat scan, mri, -rays, nerve tests, injections, etc. if you don't have these then this is a major problem they can't help you without tests. i hope you have them aviable.
are you ppo or hmo. if you need a referral then you might have a problem. if you are ppo then get a pain dr and take ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL your test to him
    good luck

  • Ron- Nah, I'm not going to sue him but if my WSIB claim screws up he's in deep doo-doo!!!

MsHumpty- RE:ER...yup, I just may do that!!! THX

Jon- thx for your input but here in Canada we have a different health system & you need a referral to see any "specialized doctor" from your GP.

Our system here is called OHIP, basically it's a great health care service that everyone gets for free who is a resident of Ontario with a health card.

Somethings are not covered such as dental work or cosmectic surgery but all the normal basic health care stuff is. Wealthy or not everyone is covered equally. Great system!!!

    thx all
  • Yeah, that dosing really had me scratching my head. He gives you a 2 week supply and says "see you in a month".

Well, I once saw an OS and and he wrote my Vicodin scripts for only 30 pills at a time. I was to take 1 every 8 hours back then AS NEEDED. When they add AS NEEDED I guess that means that they don't expect you to take the same amount every day. Later on my scripts were rewritten "every 4 hours; max of 6" and I was given 180 pills a month.

I hope you can get as far away from this GP as possible and find another doctor who is honest and that will listen to you.
  • Your Doctor sounds a lot like mine in some ways. Mine does treat my pain but it is very undertreated and he refuses to increase my pain meds. But it is better than nothing. The only reason I stay with this Doctor is because I am waiting for my first appointment with the Doctor who may be doing my pain pump implant.Unlike your Doctor mine is very good to me and has even called me just to see how I am doing. But he will NOT do more to treat my pain.
I agree with everyone else you need to find another Doctor ASAP.
Do NOT give up!! I fear it may take time.
Best of luck to you. I hope you find help soon.

  • meydey - mindboggling that some docs have no math skills at all or even a calculator handy!!!

for the question you asked earlier, yes i had a mri done waaay back in 2005 but they said they only found a small 5mm cyst in my pelvis. nothing serious they said so nothing was done.

then i had a ct scan done back in 2006, they gave me the same ol song & dance, no worries.

fast forward to 2008, i had a work related injury & ct reported i had ddd, osteoarthritis, l4-5 had bulging disc & moderate spinal stenosis. only thing doc gave me was 30 percocet per month yet 4 per day...duh! tried pt but didn't help at all, infact i felt worse, so i quit.

below is the link of my last ct scan ...done sept 2009, after second work re-lated injury.

dr. no's reply to the latest scan...nooo worries just ah...disc problems but increased the percocet to 50 per month...that 4 x daily again. i kept complaining about all this blasted nerve pain, guess to shut me up he finally referred me to see a specialist...yeah...so i go see the ortho in about a month from now.

i asked dr.no if that "5mm gas thing" could possibly be a synovial cyst, as gwennie17 thought. any guesses what dr. no said??? bingo...noooo!!!

where am i now, years later??? nooo-where...still don't know squat, can't sleep, horrible sciatic pain and now have no doctor or meds, totally back to square one, but your right patwhite i'm not giving up,(thank u) cause someone has to figure this mystery out. oh doc sherlock where are you???

  • My thoughts/prayers remain with you :) Please do keep us updated how your doing.
L1 - S2 "gone" useless in 1 way or another. DDD. RA. Bone Spurs. Tons of nerve damage/issues. Stenosis. Both knees replaced. 50 yrs old. I had a great fall (hence my user name) at age 41 and it has been a domino effect every since.
