Question about radiologic examination report

Can someone decipher a radiologic exam report?

Prevertebral soft tissues are normal, Intervertebral disc space is well maintained. Normal atlantoaxial interval. Incidentally noted is a very smoothly marginated fragment posterior to the C-7 spinous process. There is no associated edema. This most likely represents non-union of the secondary ossification center vs a remote or old clay shoveler's fratcture. There is no evidence for acute fracture.

Thank you for your help

  • Hi Scali

No one here can really do that for you. Have you spoken to the doctor who ordered this? Sounds like they suspected a fracture.

    Good Luck
